Open to all members of Patriot and Potomac CrossFit as well as non-members. This group focuses primarily on improving the technical execution of the snatch, clean & jerk and related lifts. This program is intended to supplement your regular training regimen and improve explosiveness, strength, and coordination in addition to improving comfort with the lifts.

The PCF Olympic Weightlifting Club holds classes twice a week for 2 hours each session. Programming is focused on the needs of the group, along with necessary modifications for individual athletes, and varies weekly. In each session athletes can expect to snatch and clean & jerk, squat, and perform skill transfer drills and other supplemental exercises for the Olympic lifts.

This class is open to individuals of all skill levels including people with little or no prior experience with the Olympic lifts to athletes interested in competing in weightlifting competitions.

These focus sessions will combine stretching, speed and strength work to improve you overall as an athlete. It will be hosted by Dr. Kyle Paxton, a sports medicine physical therapist and Coach LJ. Every session will start with a specific dynamic warm up led by Dr. Paxton to prime the body for activity and prevent injury followed by a variety of compound strength exercises to create improved power. On top of this we will harness that strength through a large combination of plyometrics, reaction and speed drills. You’ll come away from the six sessions with the ability to prepare, mobilize and strategize for any WOD and also a hard copy of all the information we covered during the course of the six sessions.
